Stripe integration

Stripe MRR, churn and failed payments, for every app in one place

If you run more than one product on Stripe, checking each one means opening Stripe and doing the maths yourself. SoulStack reads your subscriptions and invoices, works out MRR and churn properly, and puts every app side by side with the one that needs you at the top.

What SoulStack reads from Stripe

  • MRR, worked out from active subscriptions: yearly plans count as a twelfth a month, discounts are applied, and trials don't count until they convert
  • New MRR and churned MRR each day
  • Churn rate over the last 30 days
  • Realized revenue from paid invoices, with refunds netted out
  • Failed payments
  • Lifetime value (LTV): average MRR per paying subscriber divided by the 30-day churn rate, capped at five years, and only shown when there is churn to measure

How it feeds your health score and alerts

MRR growth and churn make up more than half of each app's health score. Stripe also raises alerts for a jump in failed payments, churn above your limit, and an MRR drop, so you hear about revenue problems while they're still recoverable. LTV is shown on each app's page and isn't part of the score.

Access it needs

A restricted key with Read access to Customers, Subscriptions, Invoices, Charges, Refunds, Prices and Coupons (so discounts are counted). Everything else stays at None. SoulStack never writes to Stripe.

Connect Stripe in a few minutes

  1. In Stripe, open Developers → API keys → Create restricted key.
  2. Choose “Powering an integration you built” and set the permissions above to Read.
  3. Copy the rk_live_ key and paste it into SoulStack when you connect Stripe to an app.
  4. SoulStack checks the key, then pulls the last 90 days so your trends show straight away.

Syncs every 6 hours, plus whenever you press Sync now.

Questions

Is it safe to give SoulStack a Stripe key?
Use a restricted key with Read permissions only. SoulStack encrypts it before storing it, never shows it again, and never writes to your Stripe account.
How does SoulStack calculate MRR from Stripe?
From your active subscriptions: each subscription's monthly value, with yearly plans divided by twelve, quantities and discounts applied, and trials left out until they convert.
Which currencies are supported?
Any of 30 major currencies, using the European Central Bank's daily rates. Each app shows its own currency, and your stack totals are converted to the currency you choose. Amounts in any other currency are left out, and the connection says which.

Works well with

RevenueCat, App Store Connect, Google Play, PostHog, Sentry, OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Vercel and Supabase. Each one adds another part of the health score, so the more you connect, the more of the picture SoulStack can see.
