Track MRR across multiple apps, in one place
Every payment tool shows one account or one project at a time. Once you run three or four apps, checking them means opening Stripe, then RevenueCat, then App Store Connect, and doing the sums yourself. The app that is slipping is the one you check least.
This guide covers what to track for each app, the ways to bring it together, and how SoulStack does it.
What to track for each app
- MRR, and how it moved over the last 30 days
- New MRR against churned MRR, so growth and losses don't hide each other
- Churn rate, weighted by revenue so a big customer counts as one
- Failed payments, which turn into churn if nobody acts
- One-off sales, for apps that sell once rather than by subscription
- What it costs to run: payment fees, store commission, AI and hosting
Three ways to bring it together
A spreadsheet works for two apps. You copy each figure in once a week, and it goes stale between updates. It also can't tell you when something breaks.
Checking each tool's own dashboard keeps the numbers live, but every app is a separate login and a separate set of definitions. Stripe and RevenueCat don't count MRR the same way, so the totals don't add up cleanly.
A dashboard built for several apps reads each source, works out the same figures for every app, and puts them side by side. That is what SoulStack is for.
How SoulStack does it
SoulStack reads Stripe, Paddle, Dodo Payments, RevenueCat, App Store Connect, Google Play, PostHog, Sentry, Supabase, OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, AdMob, AdSense, and your own numbers by API or CSV. Setting it up takes a few minutes per app:
- Add each app you run, then connect its sources with read-only keys.
- SoulStack reads revenue, users, errors and costs, and works out MRR, churn and growth the same way for every app.
- Each app gets a health score from 0 to 100, with the reasons behind it, and the one that needs you sits at the top.
- Alerts tell you when something breaks: failed payments, a churn jump, an error spike, a cost spike or a low margin.
Questions
- Can I combine Stripe and RevenueCat for one app?
- Yes. Connect both to the same app and SoulStack adds them into one MRR figure, so an app that sells on the web and in the stores shows its whole revenue.
- What about apps that sell once rather than by subscription?
- One-off sales are counted on their own. An app that only sells once shows its one-off sales where MRR would be, and a mixed app shows both.
- How many apps can I track?
- 1 app on the free plan, 10 on Pro and 50 on Studio.
