Already built your own dashboard? Keep it
Plenty of founders running several apps have built their own dashboard, or an agent that checks everything each morning. If yours works, you don't need to replace it.
The part that keeps costing time is the upkeep: every provider's API, each key, every change in how they report. This guide shows how to hand that part to SoulStack and keep what you built.
What you'd stop maintaining
- Connectors for each payment, store, analytics, error and AI provider
- MRR, churn and margin worked out the same way across every app
- Fees, refunds and currency conversion
- Alerts when a source stops syncing, so a broken connector doesn't go unnoticed
How your agent gets the numbers
- Add your apps to SoulStack and connect their sources.
- Connect your agent to SoulStack's hosted MCP server, by signing in or with an access token.
- Your agent can then call tools such as get_margins, get_ai_spend, list_alerts and list_connections. They read, and never change anything.
Sending numbers in
If you have revenue SoulStack doesn't read, such as your own billing code, send each day's totals to its ingest API or upload a CSV. They count in the score, alerts and profit margin like any other source.
When to keep what you have
If your system already covers every source you use and upkeep takes you no time, keep it. SoulStack also doesn't read ad spend from Meta or Google, or traffic from Cloudflare or Vercel, so anything built on those stays with you. You can enter ad spend by hand as a cost, and it counts toward profit margin.
Questions
- Is there a REST API?
- Not for reading. Reading is through MCP, which any MCP client or your own code can call with an access token. The ingest API is for sending your own numbers in.
- Which plans include MCP?
- Pro and Studio. Pro is $19 a month for 10 apps, and Studio is $49 a month for 50 apps with higher MCP limits. The free plan covers 1 app without MCP.
- Are my keys safe?
- Keys are encrypted before they're stored and never shown again, and SoulStack only reads from your providers. The security page has the detail.
